Oki, hello, my name is Vanessa Munroe. I am a Canadian artist-researcher-teacher with my hands in the messy work of co-creating a just education system for all. I currently live, work, play, and learn on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta and the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III. I am proud to call “Mohkinstsis'' (Calgary, Alberta, in Blackfoot) my home. As an emerging scholar-practitioner and new mother, I am growing my potential to wake from “the great forgetting” (Donald, 2020) by engaging in a/r/tography and Indigenous education.
